The cooking process will depend on the type of pressure cooker you have. If you own an electric pressure cooker, you can switch it on for 15 minutes, and your beans will be ready. However, if you have a stovetop pressure cooker, you will have to first cook the beans in high flame for 15 minutes and then simmer them for 15 minutes again.

5. Dissipate the Pressure

For stovetop pressure cookers, resting them for a good five to ten minutes will do the job. Once all the steam is released from the cooker, slowly open the lid.
